Securing a brolly on platforms

I have been using there’s for the past year… platform Anchor. There meant for holding awning on garden decking

chrissh..........Am I right that this gismo just ' stabilises ' the brollie ? How do you actually fix the actual brollie pole - or am I missing something ??

I have known those ( who fish from the same club platforms all the time ) to bore holes in the boards and push long purpose made poles into the soft stuff below. In fact, I carry such an animal made from an old 6' landing net handle which gives me height, and it works a treat. A bit heath robinson I know, but it does the job.....

Attach guy ropes from the eye on top off brolly push the anchor into the slot on the platform tune the anchor like you would a key the tighten the guy ropes

I use them with a brolly arm attachment fix to my chair … they help to hold the brolly and stop it twisting if the wind gets
