Waters from the past

With far better fisheries around these days does anyone still hanker to fish the places of the past? Places like Redmire, which is now a commercial fishery in all but name. Ashlea Pool, Arlesey Lake or any of the other waters from Walker, Taylor era. I know that many of the rivers they fished have been over abstracted and died out but are the ponds still there.

Wotton Underwood lake is still fished on a syndicate ticket.

I often used to think of the secret tench lake that Fred and Joe Taylor fished ( see Creel magazine) that they wrote often about.
