Cold weather and oily baits

When exactly is it too cold to use baits with a high oil content. Temps round here averaging 6 deg C for the next week or so. Am Istill ok for pellets and tuna in oil n stuff like that ?

When it starts to get colder the fishes metabolism slows down and they don't need to eat as much to survive. I've found just one or two PVA bags with just a handful of pellets and a couple of crushed boilies work well. But I recommend using the Koi type pellets because you can buy them specially made for winter and they have everything the Carpneed in the cold weather.
