Oops sorry guys, i'd already started posting before seeing this thread :eek:mg:

My names Aimee and I'm 23:D

So basically I've just started fly fishing only been at it 3-4 months, on still water lakes, for a beginner my catch rate its fairly good, even managed to get my self a trout master badge this month :D I've also just treated my self to a spinning rod so i can get out and have a play on the canal ( something new to learn) and today i just treated my self to a fly tying kit which another skill i am hoping to master :D

There's some excellent fly tying videos on youtube, the best ones are those by Davy Mcphail. This is his method of tying a pheasant tail nymph:

Fly tying is enjoyable to do, although it takes a long time to learn all the techniques
