Changing Fishing Line ...

I came across this site recently when I was looking for a line stripper (steady) to remove some old line from some of my reels.

This DIY Fishing Line Stripping Tool Works Better Than All Others

It's basically a lid from a coke bottle (but other manufacturers are available etc etc) that you put a bolt and some washers through - you then put the lid back onto an empty coke bottle and put the bolt in the lid into a drill of some sort - tie the line onto the coke bottle and slowly unload the line from the reel onto the empty coke bottle.

Works like a treat but keep the speed down as it empties the spool very quickly.

I do something similar which involves trees and things

Just made myself one, looks like it will do the job.might try it out later.
It's a good idea of some ones. Must be easier than winding the line round my thumb and elbow ,to empty a spool of line.

This is better than anything I've tried, take the sandpaper off and away you go
