I remember J Wilson saying how a quiver with a multi push in tip is far superior to a single spliced in tip as he had on his original avon quivers.

I've gott'a admit i'm curious why you want a spliced in tip?

If you go to JR, ask about some of the lighter Freespirit specialist rods. I'll be damned if I can find them, but I'm fairly confident that they've done 1.25/1.5lb 11ft rods that had an option of adding a (single) quiver top section.

I can't notice any flat spots on any of my quiver tip rods with push in tips. Usually i've found the flat spots start to show when your using a quiver tip that's too powerful for the section or if using a budget rod.
Being spliced won't prevent a flat spot.

There
The push in tips have a decent action nowadays. Plus the choice of different strengths on the same rod.
Have a look at a Shakespeare Sygma 10 foot feeder. Two tops, very light, about £35.

I,m just a fussy sod tigger, theirs just something in a spliced tip that I prefer maybe it,s a confidence thing ,had a look today at loads of rods but just not quite what I,m after ,think I,m asking too much too be fair trying to get best of both worlds in aquiver tip rod,I looked at a 1lb 11ft Avon rod by free spirit ,great but tip was just a little bit on the thick side but almost what I wanted.

Problem with the spliced tip is that your stuck with the one tip and so can't swap and change to suite the conditions or species.
Personally i'd go for a dedicated avon style rod and a seperate dedicated quiver tip rod. The best avon rod i've ever come across is the hardy marksman range, everything else pails in comparison...seriously!

Cheers tigger i will take a look ,must have a website, apparently free spirit are launching a new range of rods this week their maybe something amongst them.I know what i want but someone has said ,their ain,t any blanks out their that will give me what I'm looking for, i,m resorting back too using a drennan rod as a quiver rod bit thick in the tip but it,s close too what i want.

The hardy rods have been discontinued but they do come up on ebay both new and second hand. There are odd shops that still have some old stock available.
