Hello everyone I am desperately looking for a Hardy Marksman Supero Avon 11 '1 LB HRMS250 code, any of you sell it? I am in Italy, in Milan, help me please .....

You need to have a word with Binka Fabio, he should be along sometime soon, he's a big Hardy chap!.

I think your best bet is to keep a daily eye on Ebay as they do come up from time to time and usually in very good, lightly used condition.

Don't dismiss the earlier and original Marksman version as well as the later Supero as it's pretty much the same thing with even wider line ratings.

I got the supero barbel rod from this shop after skippy put me on to it. I have several hardy rods and the supero barbel rod has the solid top just like an avon rod but also has a carrier and three quiver tips so you have the best of both worlds ;).
They did have one left when I got mine a few weeks back, they also had the heavier avon rod also.

No website, Steve. Just a helluva load of Hardy rods at very good prices. When Hardy discontinued the Supero range the TE basically bought all the remaining stock that Hardy had....at least that's the story and having seen what he's got there I have no reason to doubt that's what happened. You've never seen so many rods all whispering " take me home".

Of course the one that I wanted ( the Specimen Avon) they didn't have but I'm more than happy with my PAIR of Supero Barbel rods. If I ever decide to stop messing about and have a go at a big river which contains barbel with mouths I might have to have the Specimen version. 3 piece and I reckon about 2lb TC. As with sll the range it pulls a hell of a battle curve.

The 11ft 10 in Specialist Float is a dream of a thing too. I don't need one but that's never stopped me before !

The Tackle Exchange at Walton on Thames - that's a blast from the past and glad to see they're still going. Used to nip in for wander quite a few years ago on my way to fish the Mole and Ember at Ember Court....................

PS As I fish at a sensible time thay were always open..........;)
