Very enjoyable thanks and proof that persistence and a willingness to adapt your bait( something I have to learn to do more consistently) pays off.:)

That's fishing for you! The fish I seek are always in a funny mood! One day i catch plenty and am so pleased i go back the following day and nothing! It's bizarre!

Top of the Meander river is lovely place and was good to me as well with a few fish on the nymph. Just about as English (but not) a trout river as you could get I should think.:)

You know our state well. I think they are having part of the World Fly Fishing Championships there in a couple of years time.
