In case you missed it...

In an interview for a German magazine, George W. was asked if there had been any highpoints at all during his terms in office.

After a bit of thought (?), well a dumb pause, he came up with this...

"I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound largemouth bass in my lake."

So there you have it, credit crunch, the war on terror, illegal torture and detention... and the only thing he remembers is the fishing!

He also confidently predicted in a speech in 2000 that,

"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully."

So sleep sound in your beds lads and lasses, George has spoken and fishing is good.

And thank the lord they are his last words in charge of the world!

Makes sense really, the capture was one of his few achievements. I wonder how many aides it took to make that capture?

A zoologist.

A fishing expert to point the way.

A doctor in case he pricked himself (something he is good at apparently).

A couple of servants to carry the fishing tackle.

A chauffeur to get him to the lake.

A boat owner to get him out onto the lake.

Three or four security personnel.

A personal assistant to convey messages of national importance.

A selected member of the press to report any capture.
