Hardy Rods. advice please.

I can't find an answer to this. Anyone help.

Whats the difference between
A Hardy 14ft marksman specialist float rod
And
A hardy 14ft marksman supero float rod.

The guides are different, the specialists I believe are alittle more expensive. The whippings are a different colour, the reel seat is gold on the supero rather than silver on the specialist. The specialist has ferrule stoppers and a different bag. How the blanks differ (if they do or not) I have no idea but they do have a lesser rating on the superos for some reason. I have some specialists and some superos and I like them all.

I like the guides better on the specialist but i've found they do seem to cause damage to 6lb mono when i've been playing barbel seriously hard (same as my drennan acolytes).

I've never used the XT but when I held a couple they felt pretty naff in comparison to both the specialists and the superos.

I wouldn't have a clue if the actions vary at all. I was never impressed enough to pay the Hardy rods a great deal of attention. There's always a distinct possibility that they are the same blank with different markings. However, I do know that the Supero was part of the second generation of the Hardy Marksman coarse rods. When they first appeared, there was a lot of fuss over them being inferior to the 1st gen rods. Now both are discontinued, such distinctions seem to have been forgotten.

Cant see or feel any difference in the actual blank. So assume same and add cost of Specialist based on rings and joint protectors.
