was in birmingham last weekend for the classic car show at the NEC and took a bit of time to visit fosters of birmingham to get info/tips/help on my leap into pole fishing (they advertise a pole alley ), so, saturday morning i venture out to fosters, im the first person in the door and go for a gander around the store before i hit the pole alley, OMG ! the place is huge and packed to the rafters!!! (if i had very large pockets full of 100 pound notes i could have spent the lot ) anyway, up i rocked to the counter, now 30min later an its busy ! very busy! a chap called i think, titch??? asked if i need help, i eplained my non pole fishing ability to him and was escorted to (the alley), seatbox nailed to the floor , vast array of poles on racks and on the floor resting on rollers, i was ploped on the box and a full hour was given to me dispite my repeated ( you do know im not buying anything, i just want/need some tips/help), the reply!!! thats no problem son, thats what im here for, whats your next question?, i was handed a 13m carp pole to start but that was soon dispatched and a lighter(up to 14/16 i think elastic rated pole was installed on me after much interrogation as to the type of water/fish likely ill be on, and as much advise and imparted knowledge and tips as my little noodle could take, please, take a bow fosters(titch???) and a hearty pat on the back, a huge bounding stride above and beyond what i would have expected or deemed myself worthy of:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:
