A programme on BBC4 at 7.30 called 'The Taff: The River that made Wales' with the subtitle 'How the river was bought back from the dead'. On for 30 minutes.

Might be worth a watch........................

I have some pals that have caught some massive barbel from the river.
The only problem.
Those areas are patrolled by gangs of feral youths. Tooled up.

I have just watched the first two episodes on BBC iplayer. A great watch, most recommended, both for the angling content and, particulaly for me, having been raised in a mining community, the connection between the river and coal. Don't miss it. Pete.

I enjoyed it, thank you Tony - I got your notification just after we'd finished dinner with only a couple of minutes to go, Thankfully the red button gives the option to watch it from the beginning rather than waiting for iplayer and have now set the series link...........

Coach them in a bit of fishing and then they can ballif the stretch:cool::) I have heard that teaching young people to fish properly can work wonders for their personal development etc.
