Returning to the pole

Looking for a new pole, not fished one for 20 plus years.

Will be fishing Woodlands at Thirsk and the Oaks at Sessay. Looking for something around 500 to get me started again.

Any advise from the pole lads:wh

I can't recommend one as I don't have enough knowledge, but I can tell you I have had 4 mavers and have been pleased with all of them given the amount I paid. Each on has been from the lower end of their price ranges. My current one is the Oculus 799 which I paid £500 for new and delivered from ebay.

The oculus is very strong even in my clumsy oafish hands, light and responsive enough to use long.

Maver definition or enigma.
Would not go over 14.5 mtr.
Had loads of maver poles and must say that they produce the best poles by miles in this price range
