Hello everyone,
I'm from Madeira Island (Portugal) and i'm new to this forum.
I also share the same love for fishing as all of you guys, i've been fishing since i was a really young boy. Most of the times i do spinning, but i also like surf-casting and float.

Welcome to the forum.
I think there is some good fishing off Madera.
I read of a story once by Bernard Venables a well known angler /writer here.

He tells the tale of a huge shark hooked and got alongside the boat off Madera in very deep water.

If you google " The Great Shark of the Noisy Sea " it will come up in colour.

Hello! My ancestor came from Madeira and one day I'm going to see it. You can take me spinning when I come! :)

Thank you for the warm welcome guys!
And yes thecrow, the weather is warm, it's winter now and the temperature goes around 14º and 17º...and the water temperature is 16º and 18º. we have barracudas all year heheh.

geoffmaynard sure man, i'm always up to go fishing hehe, let me know if you come visit one day. ;)
