I am visiting family in the Kettering area of Northamptonshire over the Easter weekend and will be taking some fishing gear.
I'm a big Crucian and Tench fan, but dislike commercial Carp fisheries, I tend to find bagging 100s of 5lb carp boring.
Anyway, can anyone recommend some places I could fish for Crucians, Tench, rudd and generally good silver fishing in the above area? I am happy to drive 20 odd miles.
As I said, I don't care much for pools that are stuffed full of Carp. I like Crabtree type fishing and not crammed in with other anglers.
It will have to be on a day ticket as I am only staying for four days.
