Hi, I own the drennan mk IV tench float rod 13ft with the screw in butt it came with a soft case but idealy id like a hard case for more protection as im useless when transporting rods i hit to many things, but when i try to use my drennan hard case the reel seat dose not line up so i can not fit the rod in due to it being the 13ft and having the screw in butt it, does anyone know it the have brough out a case that gets over this problem? Thanks

They supply appropriate sleeves with the similarly configured Acolyte Compact rods (and some other rods of this configuration). However, I've not seen them offered for sale separately.

Try to attach the reel temporarily to the butt with elastic bands in a place that fits, you can easily shift it to the right place when you get to where you're going.

Same as. Except I use the Neoprene/Velcro straps.
