I've acquired a Preston innovations Carbonactive 12'6" feeder rod Asaki blank at a very reasonable price. It comes with two quiver sections (I think it used to have three, no longer), but doesn't have any information on the blank as to tip or line rating - I reckon the tips are probably 2oz and 3oz. It feels like it would have plenty of backbone though.

Does anybody have any detail for the rod, or experience in using it? Feedback would be great....

I have a Carbonactive 12'6 feeder rod but I'm not sure if it's an Asaki blank?
Does the blank have Asaki written on it?

Hi I haven't got the feeder rod, but I do have two Asaki models, the 15'/17' float and the 10' quiver. I've had both since around 2002. Apart from the high quality finish and fittings, it's the extraordinary fish-playing action that marks them out. Both have supple, elastic actions that enhance catching a seemingly impossibly wide range of fish from roach to accidental carp or barbel captures.
If you go one cheap, lucky you !
