Bait dropper

Middy do three different sizes, I've just measured the diameter of the smallest and it's 1.5"...

Edited to add: Sorry I should have said I would recommend them, they've only seen light use as I tend to use the heavy Seymo droppers more but when they have been used they've opened well and seem to be well enough balanced with the weight as to avoid fluttering in the flow on the way down.

I've got a set of 3 no name droppers from Ebay. SM,MED,LRG. They seem well made and do what they're designed for. No way would i use the large one with my Avon rods. It's way too heavy when loaded.

Agreed Iain they are certainly heavy. Thus à la Binka i have put a spare reel with 15 lb line on a 9' carp rod(2.75tc) which I have never used and never will save for bait dropping. I have a very delicate dropper which is far too small but bought a grand slam one the size of a dinner plate!

I am truly ready!:wh

I tend to opt toward the side of little and often as opposed to blasting a huge amount in via a large dropper.

Even then I tend to use either a marker rod or a spod rod with a large-ish reel as my dropper rod.

The old adage applies am convince; you can always add more but you cannot take it out . . . .

The middy ones look very similar to the Free spirit ones. Agreed they are good droppers. FS also did a whopper sized one but I'm not sure if they still make it.

A valiant effort Flightliner. I guess we'll have to wait until FM is sorted.

Yes. They delivered quickly and the bits I bought were decent quality. The postage cost can be dearer than what you buy, so it's worthwhile ordering several items at the same time.

Flightliner,

I'm trying to respond to your message, it would appear that I can't send until you make space. :)
