I went into a large shop in the Bicester area yesterday and was disappointed to see that the SK4 carp rods use the same blank as the new Greys Prodigy Plus, although the fittings are slightly different. The whipping is the same (blacked tipped with gold).
The Sonnek rods cost £10 more, although I have to admit that the currenyt "buy two get one free" offer seesm great value.
What grips my whotsits is the fact that yet another company offers "new and exclusive top of the range (etc etc)" gear that is just another copy from someone else. Other tackle companies are just as guilty (Okuma reels and Tf Gear reels for example!).
I know I might sound like a grumbling old man but I just think its dishonest!!
