Years ago I bought an old rod at a car boot sale and have never used it. I have now decided to renovate and alter it into a light feeder rod. The blank is unground carbon which was sprayed green by the makers. I wish to remove all the paint but I can't rub it down because the blank is uneven due it being unground. Is there a suitable solvent or paint remover that I can use? All the rings and the handle will be removed first. Thanks in advance.
