I have a MAP Meat Cutter and a good selection of blades. Used with chilled meat it works fine on all but the smallest cutter (4mm). Try as I might I cannot get the formed plastic 'pusher' to engage with the cutting grid. Even when not installed, it is a tricky thing to put together. I am wondering if the 'pusher' is distorted. It has never worked from new. I have tried contacting MAP but had no response, and it is not the first time my e-mails have been ignored.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Ralph.

Friends have the MAP in bigger sizes and say they don't have any bother, I bought the MAP 4mm and had the same problem as you've suffered. The only solution for me was to bin it and buy Tilley 3mm, it's brilliant.
I now have a total dislike of anything produced by MAP.

I have only used the 4mm blade a few times but have never experienced the type of problem you are encountering.

Generally I find the MP Cutter an excellent piece of kit but I also managed to get the worst ever cur thumb from absent-mindedly pushing down on one of the larger blades . . . .

It needed a couple of sutures and took ages to heal . . . . .
