My wife and I have just returned from a weeks fishing on the Tweed. We go there every year for the same week. I think this year is the first that we have had six consecutive days of constant falling water levels and we got out fishing every day. We only caught two fish for the week, but Sue did lose three fish in the space of an hour on Tuesday morning. Sue caught a fish of 5lb and I caught one of 12lb and they are both at the Teviot smokery, so we should have some smoked salmon for Christmas.

We fish at Yair, which is above the Etrick confluence, and below the Ashiesteel section.
