I've seen this for sale for £60. And was wondering are the still good rods.

They're ok, nothing particularly exceptional about them though. Not so hot at 15', but it is useable at that length.

I would agree with Sam , I bought one a few months back off ebay . They are a reasonable rod at that price but nothing outstanding .

I'm not expecting the world and take in my budget. As long as it can cast and land fish I'm happy .

In the past ive found Greys course rods to stiff.

I suspect that will depend on the models you have experience of. The 13/15' Prodigy Float isn't especially stiff, it's a pretty standard match (waggler) rod action. The Greys carp rods I owned were pretty mellow for their stated TC and the original Prodigy and X-Flite barbel rods (which I also own) are well known for being quite soft and through actioned for their stated TC. If the newer models are stiffer, it's probably because Greys took heed of the general trend towards less through actioned rods.
