Hi People
I'm after a few pointers in the right direction on a new feeder/bomb rod. Having just started out at quivertipping I'm currently using a drennan avon 11ft quiver rod. I'm finding this a bit cumbersome for the smaller commercials I'm targeting. I'm not casting too far so I think I could do with something a tad shorter. I'm happy to spend up to £100 and am fishing for carp up to double figures but would also like the new rod to be sensitive enough for smaller species also. I'm thinking I'd be better suited with a 9 or 10ft perhaps?
I see Middy do a decent looking feeder rod. Any pointers or advice would be a great help.
Many Thanks

I believe Preston Innovations have been specialising for years in just the type of rod you describe - scaled down for small commercials but with a good action for playing fish of a wide range of sizes.

Something along the lines of their 9' or 10' Mini Carp Quiver might suit you?

I don't have one of those, but the two Preston rods I do have - Carbonactive 10' Quiver and 15/17' float - are excellent for exactly what you specify - elastic, non-locking actions that are great for playing all kinds of fish.

What about Drennan 9-11ft feeder. Suitable for light feeders and bombs.

Hi nottskev
That's great, thank you. I'll take a look at the Preston types. Looking for a good all rounder that is compact enough for the short chucks.
