John, strange how you've brought this up just now.
I used to be on both rivers such a lot back in the early nineties but not much since.
Then, only a week ago I was out local chubbing with a friend here in South Yorkshire and we both said we should go back " up north" to try for a biggie !

i am not sure if there are any "biggies" left as the otter problem is out of control
the only place I could point you at would be scotton bank Knaresborough but don't fish it at week end (usually a match on sundays)

send me a message and lets see if we can sort a day out

There are a few Nidd and Ure regulars, but they aren't especially prolific posters. A few more tend to frequent the next couple of rivers to the north of the Ure.
