Not sure that I could keep a straight face asking for these in a tackle shop . Happily, not an issue as I don't use a pole :wh.

Anyone encountered any other amusingly named items of tackle?

I still have trouble with the phrases 'skid bung' and 'floater fishing'.

Don't get me on to rotten bottoms... :D

Going off topic a little here, sorry, but looking at some American names for baits got me thinking..what the....take this little lot of bait names...Sweet Beaver?..Thumpin Grub?...Furbit the frog? and not forgetting ....Barely legal vixen?....are we glad not to have to ask for those.
I am sure those into Fly fishing know a few odd names from a Buzzer to a Nymph throw in a Alexandra Wet as a Appetiser and a Klinkhammer as a follow up,keep your Black and Green Snatcher in order as well and watch for the Black Booby :wh

just a thought:eek:mg:
