Glass tips

Are they all clear at the opposite end to the tip ie the last inch or so one inserts in the rod piece?

Mike, Drennan ones certainly are . I would imagine most others are the same. Carbon tips will be black.

Hi Mike, are you wondering if some tips are carbon or glass? Glass ones are "softer" - ie bend more easily and the thick end is usually clear, milky or greenish. Carbon tips are stiffer and the end usually black. You can see three carbon tips in this random bunch. Thanks for the excuse to try the new photo attachment.
