Check out tv channel 81 tomorrow afternoon at 1-45 .
There's a short film of hundreds of Sheffield anglers going by train to to the Witham and along to Kirkstead .
I was a regular on those trains in the early sixties until I bought my first motor bike.
If you watch it look out for this good looking fella , I might have a starring role !

I'll have to look out for this.

Shame my Grandad passed away recently, he was a keen angler back in his younger days and I'm sure he would recognise a lot of the places that will feature in this.

Blaze is definitely on Freesat - I watch Forged in Fire :) - which might appeal to a Sheffielder

Channel 81 is TalkingPictures TV on Freeview (not Freesat, not Sky, not BT TV. It might be on those somewhere, but I'll never know). The programme in question is scheduled for 13:45 to 14:00 on Thursday 12th April. The title is listed as "Sheffield Anglers 1960s - Glimpses". I wonder if it's one of the British Pathé shorts?
