Hi everyone!

Got some pretty exciting news for you all!

23rd June 2018 is *World Fishing Day* - a global event to unite anglers and celebrate the joys of fishing! The day will consist of a network of community angling events and a groundbreaking 24 hour live fishing broadcast from around the world, starting in New Zealand, Australia and Japan and following the sun around the world, to eventually finish up in Alaska. Across the 24 hours we'll visit Australasia, Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America, and showcase some of the most iconic species, as well as highlight many of the issues that are important to anglers the world over, such as conservation and increasing participation.

The show will also feature some of the best known anglers around, including the likes of Rob Hughes, Andy Ford, Babs Kijewski, Marina Gibson, Ant Glascoe Jr, Thom Hunt and many more from around the world, and will he anchored by a team in our London studio which will include Matthew Wright, Fiona Armstrong and Keith Arthur.

In the UK we'll be streaming live from the river Test, the Royalty fishery and a special one off 4-way Carp Wars match, and we'll have a roving team visiting as many fishing events around the country as we can.

We're encouraging everyone to get out fishing on the day and to share their pics and videos with the team in the studio - there will be prizes up for grabs, and of course, kudos!

If you'd like to arrange your own event for your club or water, you can register it here: host an event.

All the information is available at www.worldfishingday.com, and keep an eye on the FishingTV social channels for announcements about the specific locations of the live shoots in the coming weeks!

Despite the phrase 'Carp Wars' I couldn't help but give that a like.

It was close though, drop the word 'Wars' and it would have been irrefutable :)
