I'm thinking of fishing paste could you people tell me which hooks are the best for paste.

Following a tip from Markcw I now use a bait band or bait stop hair rig ( guru, PI, Maver etc) and I wrap my pellet in the paste. Small pellet more paste, large pellet less! At least I know that if the paste comes off or is nibbled away there is still something on the hook!

Any large hook with a wide gape, Drennan, Kamasan, Guru. All make strong sharp hooks. Use the biggest the fishery allows.
I just put the hook in the paste. shotting will let you know if the paste has come off, I like the paste to come off to feed the swim. If my paste is still on after 4 mins I reckon it's too stiff.
If you struggle with soft paste try using cat meat rather than stiff paste.

Good luck with the paste fishing mate.
If there is a more frustrating method of fishing i have yet to find it.:)
Rewarding when it works though.
