Tying Elastic to a Connector.

Read some years ago that the off the shelf connectors can bite into your Elastic, then making it weaker.

I've always tied my Elastics using heavy braid using a method by the 'Knot Professor' where the braid or whatever you use grips the Elastic not bite and not weakening.

Are todays off the shelf connectors any better than those of previous years. ??

Personally I don't use connectors now, I prefer Dacron.
Best way I was shown how to fasten a connectors is to double elastic through the base of the connector, pull the connector all the way through the formed loop and pull tight, elastic to elastic.
How I've put this down sounds very awkward, it's seriously easy.

Sorry,

i forgot to include Dacron aswell as Connectors.

Incase there is any confusion about my/Professors version of using Braid. The main line is attached to the Braid exactly same way as you would using Dacron etc.
