I've just had a few hours at a local ish Lake, started fishing by 5:30am it was a lovely still summer dawn, by 7 am I had my shirt off, by 10 am I packed up and left it was just too bloody hot. Went and had a mooch around one of the weirs on the River Derwent at Raynesway, barely a trickle of water spilling over.

I hate sitting around and doing nothing in this heat but oddly enough I love working in it.

It was 32° when I left work at 2pm this afternoon, it's absolute bliss being out on the golf course :cool::cool::cool:

I used to love the heat but this is getting beyond a joke. At the moment you cannot go outside or open windows due to the plagues of thrips/thunder flies that get into every orifice!
During the cold spring I was bemoaning the lack of fish activity. Now its this hot the fishing gods are taking revenge in the opposite direction:mad:
