Hi everyone.

I'm off to stay in Kerne Bridge on the Wye for a few days early September, don't know the area and I've never fished the Wye before so would appreciate any pointers on the best approach for the Barbel/other species.
I've booked a WUF beat for one day, middle hill court, but I'm still looking for somewhere else to try not too far away another day, ideally a bit cheaper if possible.
Any recommendations much appreciated.

Ben

The Wye is empty (just checked, it is 4" at Ross now), the Ross Club and Hereford AA have closed their waters so unless the levels rise........

I am surprised that the WUF have not closed their waters, it can't do the fish any good to be caught in such low water with so little dissolved oxygen.

Wye Angling in Ross sell day tickets for a a stretch opposite Upper Hill Court accessed via EC Drummonds fruit farm, I think it's £10 a day or £30 for the year.

There is the Monmouth club. Don't know prices.

Thanks, hope we get some rain between now and then, won't be fishing otherwise.

It's forecast rain here for Sunday, but I expect it will all be gone by September :(
