This is a rarely seen Jones, maker of 111 Jermyn Street London folding handle all brass salmon fly reel.
Jones were at this address from 1845 to 1852 only,so a short period and easy to date the reel,
4” diameter, 2” wide with crank arm, rotating disc allows the handle knob to drop back into a recess on the front rim protecting it from damage when stored or in transport, nice touch!
The check clicker is in the raised housing on the backplate, the check is constant and working well smooth all brass foot blade block,
the cross pillars locked externally with rounded brass nuts,
a fine collector’s example and not many about
