A rare opportunity to own a rod built and owned and used by Richard Walker,
this experimental fly rod is built from brown hollow fibalite glass, 8’9” 2 piece with staggered ferrule,
low bridge guides, whipped burgundy, tipped green, butt section 47 ½” long, tip section 56”,
fitted with 8 ½” shaped cork handle over part glass part alloy screw winch fitting,
the rod comes in cloth bag with two tags identifying the rod, and a facsimile copy letter from Mrs. PM Walker dated April 8[SUP]th[/SUP], 1997, noting the rod’s heritage and having been passed to Peter Thomas angling writer and journalist, plus a list signed by Thomas with this rod as part of the collection.
