fishing in the midlands area

is anyone getting out and fishing over the Christmas period ? I will be trying to get out as much as possible between tonight and the 5th of Jan. I will mostly be fishing the canals around Rugby and also Stanwick lakes Nr Rushden and Pitsford Lake also near Rushden.
