Already to change lines on one of my reels, thanks to whoever posted this before, just tape end of line to bottle, and spin with electric drill, to easily strip old line from spool.

Keith does the neck of the bottle fit over the chuck ? I put a bolt through the cap of a bottle and fitted the bolt body in the chuck but the cap just either split or the hole enlarged! I never thought of just sticking the bottle onto the church if that's what you do!!:)

I have a bolt and washer inside the cap, and a washer and nut on the outside, these ore tightened and then grip the remaining threads of the bolt in the drill chuck.

A drop of superglue on the threads under the nut helps, and once you’ve made one, you can just change the bottle and reuse the cap with the bolt fitted.

Hope this helps mike.

I use an old electric cable drum to wind "off" old line. It is very quick because of the large diameter one drum will take miles of line...
