Does anyone have a contact for the tackle firm Silstar?

The reason I ask is that a couple of years ago I bought a -
"Silstar X-Citer Matchpicker 3539 285"
rod from a second hand shop.

I think the rod was originally a float rod, but the one I bought had a home made quiver tip fitted (the original end section must have been lost or broken).
I would like to try and buy an original end section for the rod and was wondering if Silstar could help me out.

Any contact no.s for Silstar would be great or if anyone has any info about the rod itself would be appreciated.

Cheers
Matt

Matt,
I think Silstar was a subdivision of D.A.M. and they went under a while ago so it looks like your out of luck unless someone has one they could sell you.

Both Silstar and D.A.M have gone bust. There was a big auction of all the remaining tackle a while ago. This explains why tackle bearing their names has recently appeared in tackle shops. It would be worth remembering this in case you are looking to buy any of their tackle as there will be no back up service for the items bought
