I bought one of these in 1975 after reading Dave Stewart’s book on Roach fishing (from the Osprey Angling Library series of books) where he wrote that he used one just for fun when trotting for big Roach. I still have mine although I haven’t used it for years.

As you can see in the pic below where it’s pictured next to my Abu 506, it is a lovely small multiplier which although it was often used in tournament casting competitions it could also be pressed into use for long trotting when in freespool mode with its ultra light magnesium spool.
