Hi guys,
I went flyfishing on the Stour (canterbury) last week..... fishing was very slow... but I got to try out my 3rd person camera rig. Let me know what you think..... feels a bit like watching a computer game!!

Out of interest , does anyone know if you can catch bream on flies (nymphs) ?

My guess is the trout are probably further up stream in that river. Above Canterbury it becomes more a chalk stream type of river but it is hugely private fishing. I have heard of fly fishing for bream somewhere but I cannot remember where. My guess it would be hard work but quite an achievement to catch one.

There's a chap on the Blackwater river who gets them on the tiny lures like Neil uses plus I get them coming up on the surface for bread on a few local rivers, so on that basis I'd be sure they will take flies under the surface. One thing I have noticed is that whilst bream are more versatile than their bottom feeding reputations would suggest they are quite slow compared to the other species who are more adept feeding mid water.
