Hello all! just wanted to share with you all my joy, as last wednesday i landed my first really big carp by design, a scale perfect 19lb 2oz common, not exactly the biggest ever carp, but as i,ve only been fishing seriously for them for less than a year, i'm well chuffed. I usually fish for chub, barbel & pike, but recently discovered a day ticket venue where i rarely see anyone else, so after a few scouting sessions, i found some nice carp, & prepared with pellets, corn, hemp & nash Whisky boilies. after a couple of blanks, my fish eventually fell at 5:35pm on wednesday to a pva bag cast under a tree (just!) & a nash whiskey pop-up over maggot hemp & pellet!
