Hahaha! Love it Jeff, takes me back to the start of my matchfishing career after I left the RN in 1962.

Imagine the barracking if I appeared at one of FM's fish-ins with the sort of gear we used then and dressed in the 'rig of the day,' Fair isle pullover over a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, grey flannels with turn-ups and a knotted handkerchief to keep the sun off /forum/smilies/big_smile_smiley.gif

Mind you I wouldn't have been seen with braces they were so 40's /forum/smilies/wink_smiley.gif

" . . . DIAGRAMS AND USEFUL IF SLIGHLTY OUTDATED FISHING INFORMATION"

Well, true enough, but I'll still make a bid.

I have a lovely old book, Match Fishing by Frank Oates published in 1957, and it is a great 'read'
