With the boredom of not getting out fishing, I have had a clear out and found a polaris sidewinder are these still use the with the more modern rods of today.

Is it one for ebay or the bin job ?

Is that the butt indicator thing? I've had one here for donkeys' years. Unused. It may look redundant these days, but I read that they can be useful on very big, exposed waters in bad winds, such as you might find bream fishing in Ireland, and that's what they were originally made for iirc. Someone somewhere probably loves them....

I have one which I have used a few times. Quite frankly when looking at it I fail to see how it can be more sensitive than a correctly loaded bobbin - BUT surprisingly it works! There are three different quivers, I have only used the softest one. Caught roach and tench using it.

I use them more than the quiver tip rods they work great and are getting hard to find now so if you have one you dont want it stick it in the classified page
