Dorset Stour chub (Throop)as guest of Neil Maidment. Not the biggest fish in the river but a great result in the conditions, and one I'm happy with after nearly 5 weeks of blanks!

A big thanks to Neil for taking me, taking the picsand for fishing the swim where you had to stand in the water and get wet feet!

A great day apart from him stealing my rod and catching the last chub of the day.........I shall not forget that!

My pleasure, congratulations. We will return in better conditions and substantially up that pb. The two you had are good fish but never the less are average for that stretch.

Congratulations mate, it's a great feeling isn't it. Took me years to break 4lb and I think I rang everyone I knew within halfan hour. When are you going for the 5!

Well done Simon, smashing fish.

Had my one and only 5 pound Chub (5lb 2oz on Peeled Prawn) at Throop fishingthe small section of bank right next to the road (not far downstream of the weir) many years ago.
