Couple of questions.

Do they fit all alarms, what size jack plug are they?

And can they be used with no weight at all ? I see they come with 2 x 14 g weights, but do they seperate?

Sorry if questions are daft.

Also are the Fox SX alarms compatable with them, and are the SX's a decent alarm?

Scott.

Thanks but I have read it, but it doesn't fully answer the questions.

I am gathering they will work with the sx, but are the weights fully removable? Jack size? and is the sx worthwhile?

Scott.

I must be reading a different one then/forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif

designed for use with micron buzzers so dont work with SXs

weights varible from 14 to 28gms so no they dont totally come off

the hangers have a LED in so need power to light it which Im 99% sure the SX does not provide

Sorry mate I dont follow.

Is a Micron SX not a micron?

This bit " The Illuminated Carp Hanger has detachable weights" might suggest they are removable?

I am not being funny, but has anyone got them so I can answer my questions....

I use Fox Specialist hangers, they have no weight.

Also they appear fully compatible with most alarms i'd say... the hole issimilar to that of a standard bankstick so as i screw my alarm onto my bankstick with the hanger sandwiched between both of them, it all fits perfectly and snug and lovely...

My alarms are Shakespeare and i would say they are standard size, the thread fits into any standard bankstick/buzzbar.

Not sure if thats helpful, but you did mention using no weight, and these do have no weight, so if you just need something weith no weight these could be just the ticket... they accept a night light into them but they do not light up like the illuminated hangers do.

WOW you are not the only other one who responded and calling me a W****R is harsh.

You did indeed offer some advice and MAYBE you got a little confused with my questions but I got very confused with your answers, a simple sorry can't help would have sufficed I think.

And to call me w*****r is a little unjust, you don't even know me, and the refernence to odd individuals was a bit of knee jerk reaction to:
Foxy wrote (see)

Do you really need an illuminated hanger?

Now that is ODD, talking about NEED of tackle on a CARP sub forum, carpers are notorius tackle tarts so need is a funny word to use I think.

However Cakey, apologies for this outburst, I am not here to offend, just get a little fed up with simple questions turning in to 2 or 3 page threads with no reference to the original posters question, infact thats the way this is heading /forum/smilies/sleepy_smiley.gif

I sincerely apologise, and thank you for your responce, again W****R was not neccesary.

Scott.
