It all depends on the type of Carp fishing you intend to do really.

For my part I have just bought 3 of the Greys X-Flite 2.75 lb T/C to replace my northwestern 2.5lb T/C rods.

I chose Greys because of; their build quality, reasonable pices, good after sales service and their reputation.

I have several other Greys rods (Barbel and Trout) and have never had a problem.

Have to say though, I didn't like the new 'Plus' series with the 50m/m ring so I mannaged to get the older version with the 40m/m butt rings - and paid a lot more than that advert from Cakey!

Oh, forgot to mention that they also match my X-flite landing net (Tackle Tart that I am)
