Hi there, what infomation is known about the river around St Catherines Lock. I know it is run my Godalming Angling Club & appears to be on a day ticket.

If you walk over the lock there is a tributary thatsplit from the main river back towards Guilford and seems to wander off away form the main river.. Is this part of the system, is it part of the old river that was not canalised. Is it fishable on the Godalming ticket.?

What specis live in this water.

Is there a good head of pike for the winter.

Cheers Lads & Lassies

If you're interested in having a shufti round there I'm local.....

If you have a Godalming ticket then you're fine as I understand it, they have the rights all the way from Godalming boathouse to Guildford Boathouse on the Wey. I'm not entirely sure about the Navigation, whether they have the rights to that or if not who does. Maybe a Godalming member can fill us in ? Especially as I am hoping to be able to get a Godalming ticket for the year ahead !

Cheers for that Windy, the part of the river that flows in and out of main drag up & down stream of the lock looks very nice.

I am only interested in the day ticket side as i live in Luton, but stay in Redhill @ weekends, so only can fish 3 or 4 times a month down that way.

The club look like they got some great lakes but i cant justify a memebership cost because of the limited time i have.

As for your offer to have a shufti, maybe we chat about that next month, as you proberley knoe the area much better than me.

Cheers Mike.

PS any Godalmining members want to offer some advise?
