Hi mate, If its a pressured water go and ask the carp lads where most of the bream they catch are coming out, the tench wont be to far behind them.

Plus go a few mornings, get a good vantage point on the lake, a pair of binoculars, keep your eyes peeled

On pressured waters it's important to do things differently from everyone else:

Fish the margins (within inches of the bank if there's any depth of water)

Keep your line pinned well down to the bottom

Try baits such as worm, maggot and caster.

You also need to decide what you're going for. If you're after the carp in a water with a big head of tench you're going to struggle. If you're after the tench and you want to sort out the bigger fish then you need to think carefully about your methods. Using bigger baits, not putting as much feed in, getting the location right.
