carp on the pole

hi all ,

I intend to try a bit carping on the pole, never tried this before. iv pole fished but never for carp .the question is what elastic,line and hooks and hook lenghts to use ect.... the carp in the lake dont grow bigger than 10lb. so all help would be appreciated.

The elastic is only as good as the pole ,If your pole will take it use hollow elastic around 16 rating. a good hook line 016 is around 6lb bs ..hooks will depend on bait but if the carp are having it i use a 14 using corn size baits .
