For those who don't know this small river, it's stocks were starting to build up thanks to our licence money investment in stocked fish. Granted it was never going to be one of the nations premier fisheries but was starting to serve the needs of anglers young and old in several of the deprived areas of Manchester.

But yet again it's been polluted with foam, detergent foam at that. Interestingly, the company named in the story have been nicked before for polluting it with hey guess what.......Detergent! Curiously, they say it's notus, but there is only one factory that produces detergent on the river course......Emmmm strange!

As long as it's cheaper to pay the fines every now and then than put in place the correct measures to stop this sort of thing happening, it'll continue.

What a flippin farce,suffered it many times on our local and believe me whem I say some very good fish were lost for such tiny streams.Lets hope they catch them even though it will be a pittance of a fine.
